My current view:
I don’t know if Jess is giving me this look to tell me to relax as it is Sunday or just being her normal relaxed self.
Either way I am closing the laptop and snuggling up to her right now.
Have a fab Sunday everyone.
Does anyone else find themselves buying clothes to match the colour of their cats?
Black is instantly covered in grey, brown or white fur from Marly and Jess and I have lint rollers all over my house and in the car!
Grey is now a staple colour in my wardrobe; brown is not appealing in to me and white is just plain silly with a baby!
A favourite joke of mine is the following:
“If you have a cat and get covered in cat hair, here’s a tip.
Get some sellotape… and wrap it around your cat.”
I actually saw this said live at a comedy night. The joke is by Adam Bloom, a English stand-up comedian and writer. He delivers it so well
So I now have an 8 month old baby boy hence the silence on the blog for some time.
He is just great and oh so time consuming but I wanted my hobby back and plan to be back online blogging all things cat
Marly loves the baby …
Both cats showed interest from the moment we came home with this new and interesting creature. I think maybe they wondered why he was not hairy. He weighed pretty much the same as them so was a very similar size.
I love the new Sainsbury’s advert and it is hands down my favourite one this year.
If, like me, you watch all TV on demand you can see the advert here – Mog’s Christmas Calamity by Judith Kerr.
I love how adverts are still as popular despite many people not even watching them in the advert breaks anymore. There are definitely a few which are anticipated every year … with speculation over what the theme will be. As well as the classics like the Cola Cola truck which should never be changed in my opinion. “Holidays are comin’ la la la” – always gets me in the christmassy mood.
This weekend I was shopping with my mum when she spotted a watch that she knew I would have to have!
I often see cat related items which I love; but find myself asking the following questions:
Do I really need?
Is it nice or am I just taken in by the cat theme?
Am I too old for this?
This time I decided that although I didn’t really need, it was nice and age appropriate too. So with 2 questions out of 3 with positive answers; I made my way to the till.
My purchase was this Floozie Cat Watch:
A nice hot cup of tea is probably one of my favourite things; so when I saw this Mugtopper I had to have it. Promising to keep tea hotter for longer, and with a cat perched on the top, it is a sweet little item. I bought this in The Range and it was under £2. I am afraid I do not remember the exact amount (and they are not on the website) but it was reasonable.
Here it is:
Close up of the little face:
A while ago I posted about Marly being scared of anything noisy and big.
A few more things have come to light with Christmas and redecorating playing a big part in discovering them:
Jess is still cool as a cucumber …
I have been enjoying experimenting with nail art recently (see here) and below is my latest attempt at a new fun design.
I need to work on a smoother outline for the cat thumb but I was pretty pleased for a first try.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.
Firstly, apologies for the very cheesy pun in the title. I couldn’t resist!
Moving on …
I am a big believer in pet insurance … despite never having to use. I have insured Marly and Jess since I got them at a cost of £12 a month.
Let’s do the maths:
Some people may say that is a waste of £744 but in my eyes I have peace of mind. If anything happens I will have no hesitation in approving any treatment and paying an excess on the insurance will be a small cost to pay.
